Electors in the local governments of Perth, Port Hedland and Perenjori are reminded that this Saturday, 17 October 2020, will be their last opportunity to have their say in who will represent them on Council over the coming year.
It is now too late for most electors to return their completed votes in the mail.
But if you have not cast your vote yet - all is not lost! Voting packages that were mailed to electors can completed and hand delivered to a ballot box at the respective local government offices during normal business hours until Friday or anytime this Saturday between 8.00am and 6.00pm.
Electoral Commissioner, Robert Kennedy urged electors who have yet to vote to have their say in who will govern their community.
“For your ballot papers to be counted, they must be received by the returning officer by 6:00pm, Saturday 17 October 2020”, he said.
If an enrolled elector has misplaced their package or believes they did not receive one in the mail, they can still attend their local government office to apply for a replacement.
The counting of votes will occur on Saturday evening after 6.00pm and results will be published on the Commission’s website once the returning officers have declared the outcome.
