Annual disclosure by Political Parties available to the public

Annual returns for the 2019–2020 financial year can now be viewed on the Funding and Disclosure page of the Electoral Commission’s website. See them here.

The disclosure of political donations is an important legislative requirement, enabling the public to see who, when and how much money has been given to political parties and their associated entities. Annual returns for the 2019–2020 financial year have been lodged by nineteen political parties and six associated entities. A total of $12,447,359.16 in gifts and other income was disclosed in the returns by these political parties and their associated entities.

Annual returns are to be lodged by 30 November each year. The public can view the annual returns from the Commission’s website four weeks after the required lodgement date.
