The Commission provides advice to a range of organisations on how to conduct fair and impartial elections.
The Commission, under the Industrial Relations Act 1979 and the Electoral Act 1907, is also able to offer election services to a wide range of clients. Such fee-for-service elections can be conducted either by in person or by post.
Election rules for other elections can vary. The Commission has a guide outlining current best practice and includes a list of ‘Standard Election Rules’ groups can use or adapt to their needs. The Commission is also willing to provide advice to help groups or organisations establish election rules to suit their own needs for the conduct of fair and efficient elections. Contact the Commission for more information.
